A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of West Michigan until 7 a.m. Saturday.

BLACK FRIDAY Lake effect snow will be persistent all day. Everyone will see snow, but a double dose will fall under the strongest lake effect snowbands. Gusty winds will carry snow as far as Lansing. Watch for quick changes in visibility. Highs will be near 30 with wind chills in the 20s.

How much snow are we going to see?

TONIGHT Lake effect snow continues but lessens in intensity. An additional 1-2″ is expected by daybreak. Lows will fall to the mid 20s.

SATURDAY Light lake effect snow continues on Saturday. Some dry hours will work in by the afternoon and evening. Highs temperatures will drop yet again topping off in the mid to upper 20s.

SUNDAY Lake effect snow is expected. Through the weekend, an additional 1 to 2″ of snow is expected. Temperatures will struggle to reach 30 with a blustery west wind at 10-20 mph.

LOOKING AHEAD Staying cold through the first week of December with several rounds of light to moderate lake effect snow. A wave of system snow is expected on Wednesday.
