MSU researcher: New concrete formula could be key to ‘fixing the damn roads’

You’ve probably heard the old saying about Michigan’s four seasons: They are fall, winter, spring and construction. There are plenty of factors that hinder the state’s infrastructure, but one of the biggest ones is the wear and tear on roads. A team of researchers at Michigan State University are tackling the problem head-on with a new type of concrete that they claim is “flexible, self-heating and self-healing.” (Dec. 1, 2024)
