LAWTON, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say two men were arrested in connection to the death of a 28-year-old man in Lawton.

The Lawton Police Department said Aydon Bannister, 20, and Braydn Martin, 19, were arrested in connection to the Nov. 12 death of 28-year-old Aaron Wheeler.

On Friday, the police department said Bannister was arrested. He was charged with homicide, unlawful imprisonment, interfering with a police investigation, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and weapons violations.

Martin was arrested on Tuesday. He was charged with unlawful imprisonment, interfering with a police investigation, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and weapons violations.

Both men were arraigned in 7th District Court on Friday, according to the police department.

On Nov. 12, the police department said it was called around 7 p.m. for a medical incident on Durkee Street near the intersection of Main Street. Wheeler died at the scene.

Police have not released any information about what led to Wheeler’s death.
