ALMENA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say an 80-year-old man was arrested for selling methamphetamine near Paw Paw.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said the arrest happened Friday at home in Almena Township.

Investigators found a small amount of meth with smoking devices and scales inside the garage. After interviewing the suspect, the sheriff’s office said it found 1.6 pounds of meth inside the basement of the home with several guns.

The suspect, whose name was not released, admitted to trafficking narcotics, according to the sheriff’s office.

Once the report is complete, the sheriff’s office said it will be sent to the Van Buren County prosecutor for charges.
