GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week on “To The Point,” Republicans in Michigan won control of the Statehouse last week and state Rep. Matt Hall, R-Richland, has been chosen to be the new Speaker-Elect in January. He talks about why he thinks control of the House is critical.

“So what we have to do is we have to engage Republican donors and small business people and help them understand why the Michigan House is so important. And just one example (of this) is the Legislature decides the election laws for the state, and you saw Democrats changing all kinds of election laws the last two years to try and give their candidate an advantage. Fortunately, we swapped the vote. Trump supporters came out and voted overwhelmingly to make up for all of these election law changes Democrats did,” he said.

All that and more on this “To The Point” episode for the weekend of Nov. 16.
