GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — On this “To The Point,” Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks, D-Grand Rapids, on what the legislative session will look like with a divided government and how she will approach working with the new Republican majority in the House.
First, she’ll have to deal with a ‘lame duck’ session.
“We’ve been around for a four-year term, we’re right in the middle of that. We still have a number to get done before we turn the page to shared power next year. So, we’re continuing to work our colleagues in the House pretty hard because we hope that they will all take their responsibility to their constituents seriously and come to work and cast their votes on lot important issues to their constituents,” Brinks said.
