GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — USA Today is asking the public to vote for the best holiday market in the country, and one Michigan market is on the list: the Kerstmarkt in Holland.
“While Holland, Michigan, is known for its spring tulips, Kerstmarkt offers a great reason to visit in the winter. For five weekends in November and December, over 30 vendors set up at the 8th Street Marketplace to sell holiday decorations, gifts, and seasonal treats at this European-style market. Visits from Santa, dog sleds, and Dickens Carolers add to the fun,” the market description in the contest reads.
The Kerstmarkt joins other holiday markets across the country like the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, NYC; Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; the Denver Christkindlmarket in Denver, Colorado; Old World Christmas Market in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin and more.
The public is allowed to vote once per day until noon on Dec. 2. USA Today said the top 10 winning markets will be announced on Dec. 6. Vote for the Kerstmarkt here.
