GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A suspect was arrested after crashing into a home near Grand Haven Sunday night, deputies say.

Around 9:48 p.m., deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on Silverbrook Drive near River Haven Boulevard in Grand Haven Township for a vehicle that had crashed into a home.

Arriving deputies found the driver was still inside.

“Deputies attempted contact with the suspect and ultimately used less lethal tools,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a news release.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody, and after being medically cleared, was booked into the Ottawa County Jail. The suspect was not identified by the sheriff’s office.

The crash is still under investigation.
