GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — It’s starting to feel like fall so why not fall in love with the events coming to West Michigan this weekend?

Grand Rapids Marathon

Runners take your mark this Sunday for the 21st annual Grand Rapids Marathon.

On top of the 26.2-mile race, there is also a half marathon, marathon relay and 5K and 10K options for you to participate in as well.

Beats and Bourbon

Mammoth Distilling is hosting Beats and Bourbon this Friday.

The event pairs the distillery’s list of bourbon offerings with live DJ sets. There will also be specialty drinks available.

Grand Rapids Improv Festival

The Grand Rapids Improv Festival returns this weekend for a tenth year.

For three straight days, you can enjoy improv comedy at several venues from some pros. You can also partake in some workshops to sharpen your own skills.

K-Wings Home Opener

The Kalamazoo Wings are back in action at home this Saturday at the Wings Event Center.

On top of the fun happening on the ice, the team is also attempting to break a Guinness World Record by having the most people waving foam fingers simultaneously. Attendees will receive a free foam finger and magnet schedule.

Home Stryker Field in Kalamazoo is the place to be this weekend for the return of the Donut and Beer Festival.

You can sip on and find your favorite adult beverage while sampling a wide variety of donut creations from vendors all in one place.

There are several cities across the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s this weekend.

Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Holland are just a few to participate in the walk that hopes to raise money in the fight to find a cure for the disease.

Head on down to Midtown Fresh Market in Kalamazoo for a family-friendly competition this Sunday.
