MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — You have a chance to win a 38-inch acoustic guitar signed by Taylor Swift while supporting a good cause.

Big Lake Humane Society in Muskegon is auctioning off the guitar and hopes the big-ticket item will bring more people out to one of their annual fundraisers. 

The guitar was donated by a volunteer and the winner will be announced Wednesday at the Piano for Paws event. The dueling piano fundraiser is at the Polish Falcon Club from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The humane society hopes to have around 150 people at the event to support around 100 cats and dogs that they help. 

“Events like this are vital to us being here and keeping our doors open,” Alexis Robertson, the executive director of the Big Lake Humane Society, said. “Donations like a Taylor Swift guitar that can help bring people in that maybe just weren’t thinking about this season. Getting our name out there is vital or we won’t be here to help these animals.”

If you cannot attend the fundraising event, you still have a chance to win the guitar. Tickets for the guitar raffle are separate, and you do not have to be at Piano for Paws to win. Tickets are $25 each or you can get five tickets for $100. The humane society said it is willing to ship it to the winner. If you cannot attend the event, you must purchase your raffle tickets for the guitar by Tuesday.
