BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a man was killed in a head-on crash near Six Lakes in Montcalm County.
Michigan State Police said the crash happened around 5:20 a.m. Friday on M-46 near the intersection of Hillman Road in Belvidere Township, west of Six Lakes.
A westbound vehicle hit a deer in the road, crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound car, according to state police.
MSP said the driver of the eastbound car, a 44-year-old Morley man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 30-year-old Remus man, was taken to the hospital with injuries that state police said were not considered life-threatening.
