GREENVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A 79-year-old Cedar Springs man was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Greenville Thursday morning.
It happened around 7:20 a.m. on S. Lafayette Street near E. Cass Street. The Greenville Department of Public Safety says the 79-year-old pedestrian was hit by a southbound minivan.
The pedestrian was semi-conscious when emergency responders got there, but soon became unresponsive, police say. Crews started first aid and said they got the man’s pulse back. He was rushed to a hospital in Greenville and then transferred to one in Grand Rapids.
Police say they’re still investigating what led up to the crash. They say the driver, a 45-year-old from Greenville, is cooperating with them.
