GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A teen is in the hospital after being stabbed Friday night in Ludington, police say.
Just after 7:30 p.m., officers with the Ludington Police Department were sent to Legacy Plaza after receiving a 911 call that someone had been stabbed.
When they arrived, they found a 16-year-old Ludington boy with an apparent stab wound in his lower back. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The 16-year-old told officers that he had been involved in a fight with a 17-year-old Ludington boy in an alleyway in the area of W Ludington Avenue and S James Street.
The 17-year-old ran away from the scene. He was later arrested at his home, the police department said. He is being held in the juvenile detention center pending arraignment.
