GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Jared Goff and the Lions walked away with the win Monday night, but a former Spartan made headlines of his own for his packed stat line and a sensational play.

Seattle’s Kenneth Walker III finished the night with 116 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, but his best play didn’t end in the end zone. In the box score, it went down as a 10-yard reception, but the video shows so much more.

In Lions territory, Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith connected with Walker in the flat with Detroit linebacker Alex Anzalone hot on his heels. Anzalone wrapped him up and tried to take him down for what would have been a short gain, but Walker landed on top of Anzalone and regained his footing in one simple flip.

With Anzalone on top of him, he used his head and body positioning to flip over top of Anzalone and once again land on his feet, then broke away from him to gain several more yards.

“He does not go down, his knees don’t touch. And then he kind of brings in another WWE move right there,” broadcaster Troy Aikman said enthusiastically while watching the replay.

The Seahawks social media team posted the clip to X with the simple caption of: “K9. What!?”

Walker is in his third professional season. He was drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He transferred from Wake Forest to Michigan State in 2021 and put together a monster season to lead the Spartans to an 11-2 record. Walker racked up 1,636 rushing yards on 263 carries and scored 19 total touchdowns, earning him All-American honors. He finished sixth in voting for the Heisman Trophy.

Walker has had two productive seasons with the Seahawks, playing 15 games in each and averaging nearly 1,000 rushing yards.

He finished with 103 rushing yards and a score in Seattle’s Week 1 victory over Denver before suffering an oblique injury. He sat out two games before returning Monday night for the Seahawks’ game against the Lions.
