PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A team making their way to LMCU Ballpark next summer might make you go bananas.
Two Savannah Bananas teams, the Party animals and the Firefighters, will be in town next summer during their Banana Ball World Tour on June 12, June 13 and June 14.
The Bananas are a traveling baseball team that plays Banana Ball, which they claim to be “the fastest and most entertaining game of baseball.” It includes a 2-hour time limit on games, no walks, and foul balls caught by fans count as outs.
This is the first time a Savannah Bananas team has played in Michigan. Organizers expect tickets to sell out quickly.
Tickets can only be purchased by joining the Savannah Bananas ticket lottery list, which closes on Nov. 1. After joining the list, a random drawing will happen about two months before the event for a chance to purchase tickets, which begin at $35.
Any fans who join the list after it closes on Nov. 1 will be placed on the ticket wait list and will be notified if tickets become available.
You can sign up to be on the ticket lottery list on the Banana Ball website or the Party Animal website.
The Savannah Bananas warned of tickets purchased through third party sites and on social media platforms, saying they’re “often fraudulent and will not be accepted.”
