WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — The ramp from northbound US-131 to I-96 in metro Grand Rapids reopened Friday after being closed for months.

There will still be lane closures in effect through Nov. 15 while construction continues, the Michigan Department of Transportation warned.

The ramp to both east and westbound I96 and Alpine Avenue in Walker had been closed since April while MDOT replaced the bridge deck, barriers and lighting, plus worked on the substructure.
