Deputies: Cars hit by pellets near Caledonia

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office says it is working to find out who is responsible after some cars were hit by pellets near Caledonia last week.

It happened Friday in the area of 76th Street and McCords Avenue in Caledonia Township. The sheriff’s department said three vehicles were struck by pellets.

One driver sent News 8 images of a nick in the paint of their SUV after it was apparently among the vehicles struck.

“KCSO understands the fear these incidents have inflicted on this community,” the sheriff’s office said in a Tuesday afternoon social media post, going on to promise it was “diligently working” to find answers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 616.632.6125 or Silent Observer at 616.774.2345.
