KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo police are asking the public for help identifying a man who they say robbed a store Tuesday evening.

Around 5:52 p.m., officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were called to a business on Burdick Street at Belmont Street in Kalamazoo for a report of an armed robbery.
Police say a man, who stood about 5 feet, 10 inches, with a “medium build” came into the store wearing all black clothing — pants, hoodie, coat, ski mask, gloves, and black and white shoes. He pulled out a gun and demanded money.
Surveillance video captures the moments the suspect entered the store and told the clerk to give him money. The clerk empties the cash drawer, his own pockets and wallet before the suspect leaves.
Police say the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and went an “unknown direction.”
KDPS is investigating. Anyone with information should call the Criminal Investigations Division at 269.337.8139 or contact Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
