KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Long John Silver’s has reopened in Kalamazoo inside a newly-built building.

Crews demolished the old building at 5481 W. Main St. near US-131 this summer, according to a social media post from Kalamazoo Excavation.

It’s now open inside its new building, according to a Friday release from the chain.

“We’re excited to welcome guests back to our Kalamazoo location,” Jessica Radcliffe, director of operations at Long John Silver’s, said in the release. “Guests will appreciate the new restaurant design, which creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for dining in or grabbing a meal on the go. While we may sport a fresh look, you can still expect the same delicious seafood and exceptional service you expect from Long John Silver’s.”

The Kalamazoo location is one of 19 in Michigan, according to the Long John Silver’s website, including locations in Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Walker and Wyoming.
