GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan Lottery’s Lotto 47 jackpot hit twice in the span of one week, including one winner sold in Grand Rapids.
One player matched all six numbers from the Nov. 27 drawing. The ticket, sold at the Coit Libation Station on the city’s northeast side, was worth $2.86 million.
One week later, another player won $1.05 million after matching all six numbers on a ticket sold in Westland.
“Cold weather may have arrived, but the Michigan Lottery’s Lotto 47 game has been red hot,” Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli said in a statement. “Congratulations to the two lucky players who became Michigan’s newest millionaires this week!”
Neither winner has been publicly identified.
The Lotto 47 is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets can be purchased at licensed retailers and the Michigan Lottery’s website until 7:08 p.m. on drawing days.
