GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — After months of reconstruction, the Division Avenue and Fulton Street intersection in downtown Grand Rapids is expected to open at the end of the week — assuming the weather cooperates.

Pavement markings are planned for Thursday, but rain is expected, a city spokesperson told News 8. If the pavement markings are in place, the intersection will open Friday.

The intersection has been closed to traffic since July as part of a $5 million reconstruction project. Crews have been working to improve various utilities, including replacing a water main and city power duct bank.
