GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two new Foxtail Coffee locations are planned for West Michigan.
The Baton Collective, a business group owned by Cheri DeVos, is working to build a Foxtail Coffee at 1200 Wealthy St. SE near Fuller Avenue in Grand Rapids and another location at 325 84th St. SW off of US-131 in Byron Township.
The Byron Center location is currently under construction and is set to open in the first week of December, Samuel Nichols, the Baton Collective director of business operations, told News 8.

“We are excited to have it open for holiday shopping,” he said.
The Wealthy Street location is in the design phase, with the team hoping to have it open in the spring of 2025.
“We’re working with the city and the historic society to make sure that it is just a great spot for people to come and for the community to meet, and that it maintains the character of old Wealthy Street,” Nichols said.
The coffee shops will be the third and fourth West Michigan Foxtail Coffee locations for the Baton Collective, which also has locations in Ada and Holland. The Ada location opened in the spring near the Ada Hotel, while the Holland location opened in August inside the former Ferris Coffee/JP’s spot in downtown.
Nichols said those two locations have been well received by their communities, adding that they’re usually nearly full.
He said the Baton Collective liked Florida-based Foxtail Coffee’s focus on great coffee and community.
“The spaces that we are putting Foxtail Coffee are built to be community meeting centers and hubs,” he said. “We want them to be very comfortable spaces for everyone. We want people to feel free to stick around, to have a good conversation.”
He said the team is looking for other potential Foxtail Coffee spots across West Michigan.
