GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Brewers and beer fans are in for a treat this weekend as the annual Beer City Brewers Festival returns Saturday.
The festival kicks off at Calder Plaza and is meant to showcase why Grand Rapids holds the title of Beer City, USA. The event will feature live music, food trucks, games and, most importantly, beer.
“This is a one-of-a-kind event,” Jeremiah Zimmerman, the president of the Beer City Brewers Guild, said in a statement. “It’s a perfect example of how our beer community pulls together, collaborates, and innovates—there’s nothing else like it.”
Along with the festivities planned, this year’s festival will also feature the Beer City Pro-Am, during which professional brewers team up with amateur brewers to create unique, collaborative brews.
The fun is already underway, however. Those who have the Brewsader App are invited to visit any of the 23 participating breweries for the festival and vote for their favorite establishment and drink. The winner will be announced Saturday.
