GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — For the entire month of November, guests at Blandford Nature Center will get in for free.
This is the third time the nature preserve will offer free entrance — it also happened in August and in April. November’s free admission was made possible through a donation from Amway.
“Amway is thrilled to partner with Blandford Nature Center to offer free access to our community this November,” Lindsey Tilley, Amway’s supervisor of corporate social responsibility, said in a statement. “Being active and spending time in nature supports our mission of helping people live better, healthier lives. We invite everyone to take a walk, meet some wildlife, and explore the outdoors at our region’s community-supported nature center.”
Along with the 264 acres of forests, meadows, wetlands and trails, Blandford will also be offering several free activities and programs throughout the month that guests can take part in. A list of some of the offerings can be found below:
- Nov. 9: Fall Nature Makers Market
- Nov. 16: Blandford’s historical village
- Nov. 16: No-cost flu shot clinic
- Nov. 23: Electronic recycling event
