West Michigan food banks are working to stock up on donations to feed families through the long winter season.
Feeding America West Michigan serves 23 million meals worth of food each year. Organization leaders say the need continues to grow.
Feeding America works with 800 partners to deliver meals, but needs help supporting the supply.
The organization asks those who feel called, to consider hosting a food drive or participating in one to support the mission.
Hospice of Michigan
The Grand Rapids International Wine, Beer, and Food Festival provides the chance to experience some of its top pairings and support a great need.
Hospice of Michigan is this year’s beneficiary for Cheers for Charity.
This exclusive event features a curated group of the finest food, wine and beer that you can sample ahead of the public.
Proceeds from ticket sales will help provide quality end-of-life care and comfort to hospice families.
MI Smiles Dental Grand Haven
MI Smiles Dental Grand Haven is giving veterans something to smile about, by offering free services to the men and women who served our country.
Smiles from the Heart is happening on Friday, Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Grand Haven location on Timberview Drive.
Veterans can receive free teeth cleanings, fillings, and extractions by bringing in a military ID or proof of service.
Availability is first come first served, however, reservations can be made by calling the office.
Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House is hosting its annual Holiday Collection drive to collect toys for children in the hospital and their siblings.
Your support can help lift the spirits of West Michigan’s littlest patients during a hard time.
Donations are being collected through the end of the month at the Ronald McDonald House located on Cedar Street Northeast in Grand Rapids.
The biggest need is toys and other gifts for kids ages 10 and up, including books, stocking stuffers, board games and puzzles.
