GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — This year’s Grand Rapids Santa Parade will join forces with the Grand Rapids Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 7, and organizers are looking for themed entries and floats to join the fun.
The parade starts at 5 p.m. from the corner of Michigan Street NW and Division Avenue N. Then, the parade will head down Division to Crescent Street NW, Ionia Avenue NW, Pearl Street NW, Ottawa Avenue NW and Louis Street NW, ultimately bringing Santa Claus right to Rosa Parks Circle for the tree lighting ceremony at about 6:45 p.m.
The parade typically has over 50 entries, including floats, high school bands, nonprofit organizations, for-profit organizations, and more.
The deadline for parade entries is Nov. 16. Nonprofit entries pay a $75 fee, and for-profit entries pay a $300 fee. Find out about the parade entry guidelines at the Grand Rapids Santa Parade.
