GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Covenant Living of the Great Lakes is expanding its Grand Rapids community to welcome more residents.

The faith-based, not-for-profit senior living community located at 2510 Lake Michigan Dr. NW will add 36 cottages in 18 duplexes. They will be two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath homes with a two-car garage, the company said in a release.

The neighborhood will be getting a walking path with the expansion and the residents will have full access to community amenities like dining, a fitness center, an indoor swimming pool and more.

“It was 25-years ago when we broke ground on this property for the first phase here at Covenant Living of the Great Lakes and it has always been on the radar to develop this neighborhood of duplexes from the very beginning of our plans for the Grand Rapids community. It is exciting to see how this community has evolved and grown since then to serve our residents,” David Erickson, Covenant Living president and CEO, said in a release. “I am pleased to see this become a reality and it expands our opportunity to serve even more seniors in Grand Rapids.”

As of Friday, over 70% of the new homes have been reserved, the company said.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in early 2026.
